I also have a 4 cup angled measuring cup as well.and again it makes measuring so much easier. Such a simple design change and suddenly it is soooo much easier to be more exact in your measuring on the first try.
You also have the option to check your measurement from the side too. My wife fussed with me for ordering this angled measuring cup since it was different; you look down in the cup for your measurment instead of on the side. But after she used it the first time it is a big hit and that's all she uses now.
The measuring gimmick is a good one but doesn't overcome the downsides. Stay with the tried and true glass measuring cups. This cup is cheap plastic. I expect the red marking to soon disappear making it all but impossible to read too. When you wash them, you know they are completely clean. I would never pour hot liquid in it for fear of it breaking. The rubbery thing on the handle is just a place for mold/germs to hide and grow.
Great experience. I love this measuring cup. I already had the two cup, but now I want the four cup.
I have easily had this measuring cup for 4-5 years, and it gets very frequent use in my household. The measurements are easy to read either from the top or from the side.Another added benefit is that the handle is perfect for hanging; we have a crock full of our spatulas and other kitchen tools; this handle slips right into the crock and allows the measuring cup to hang off the edge for easy access.Washes up very well in the dishwasher; I was concerned that the letters would wear off with use but so far they are all clear.Would definitely recommend to a friend or buy as a housewarming gift.
